SRINAGAR: Ministry of MSME, through its Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Srinagar, organised district-wise Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAPs) in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JK-RLM) UMEED.
The programmes were conducted in the districts of Anantnag, Kulgam, Kupwara and Baramulla.
The programmes were coordinated by Mohamed Tariq Ishtiaq, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, in close coordination with the respective District Programme Managers (DPMs) of JK-RLM.
The primary objective of these programmes was to motivate women beneficiaries towards entrepreneurship and to create awareness about various schemes and facilities offered by the Ministry of MSME, District Industries Centres (DICs), and other supporting institutions.
The programmes witnessed active participation from the banking community, wherein bankers elaborated in detail on the financial support and facilitation available to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under NRLM, including credit linkage and other banking services.
The programmes served as an effective platform for capacity building, financial awareness, and entrepreneurial motivation among women, fostering inclusive and sustainable economic development at the grassroots level.
