Mir was accompanied by District President Jammu Urban Abhay Bakaya and Incharge Apni Party Shangus (Anantnag), and senior Kashmiri Pandit leader, M K Yogi.

In his address, Former Cabinet Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that: “The youth are our valuable asset. We have to reform them and make them better citizens as they are the assets of tomorrow.”

Commending the role of Orzu Club in promoting sportsmanship among the youth, he said that the cricket tournament which has been organised will keep the children physically active, and attract them towards the sports.

He further said that: “This initiative provides a vital platform for our youth, and the huge participation from 21 teams is truly encouraging. Platforms like these not only foster talent but also keep youth away from drugs – a growing problem in our society.

The inauguration was also attended by prominent figures, including Ashwani Bhat, Mumtesh Ji, Vijay Pandita, Sunil Pandita, Chandiji Bhat, Tej Krishan Dhar, and Naveen Gosian.

The KPL promises thrilling matches ahead, promoting fitness, teamwork, and positive community values
