KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns in Sgr and other areas

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in various areas due to maintenance works on 33 kV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 kV Exhibition line will be observed on January 3, 2026, resulting in the disruption of power supply to Iqbalabad, Towheedabad, Hamdania Colony, Nundresh Colony, and adjoining areas from 12 noon to 3:00 pm.

Similarly, the 33 kV Shariefabad–Wadwan line will remain shut on January 3, 2026, affecting electricity supply to Shariefabad, Durbal, Hanjik, Soibugh, Haran, Bonpora, Astanpora Wadwan, Dharmuna, Russu, Gopora, Pymus, and nearby localities from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

In addition, the 33 kV Nihalpora–Gulmarg line will undergo scheduled shutdowns on January 4 and January 7, 2026, during which power supply to Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shai, Buderkoot, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandi, Wanigam, Malgam, Malpora, and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on both days.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
