Test Of Time
(The Christmas Tree)
We both stood the test of time
The blizzards ravaged lesser mortals
Searing their golden reddened visage
You and I, stood side by side
Facing onslaughts of snowy puffs
Dreamed of a day in heaven above
Where no icy fingers clutch our throats
Where no little birdie cries for her mate
Where deer romp and dance the jig
Where no one wakes us from our sleep
We stand together like sentinels
Balancing the frigid balls of snow
Pretending to be Christmas trees
While truly frozen till our toes
The pearly vista spreads around
Reflecting moonlight of our hearts
Silver bells and Pom Pom caps
And Santa with his cheery grin
We both stood the test of time
May Santa Come
May Santa come calling on every little, tiny tot
May Xmas cheer fill the hearts of everyone who grieves
May bounties fill the coffers of the penury stricken and needy
May no child go to bed starving and whimpering
May the chill of winter not freeze any sickly bones
May the birth of Christ herald joy each new morn always
Merry Christmas to all my friends all over the world
May Love and Peace be the magic keys
“Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose”
May the underprivileged be fed
May the orphans find joy
May the world breathe pure air
May water quench thirst eternally
May each home find peace
May anger and ego relent
May you forever love me Lord
This is my prayer today for
This season of forgiveness
