BJP J&K launches ‘Swadeshi Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Lal Chowk

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir organised an Awareness Camp and Oath Ceremony under the banner of “Swadeshi Sankalp Abhiyan” at the iconic Clock Tower, Lal Chowk, Srinagar, to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The programme was held with the theme “Ghar Ghar Swadeshi – Har Ghar Swadeshi”, reaffirming the party’s commitment to economic self-reliance and indigenous growth. The event was graced by State General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra (programme Incharge) and Anwar Khan.

Bilal Parray, co-Incharge, All Cells J&K and Programme co-incharge, DDC Er. Aijaz Hussain, Adv. Sheikh Salman, District President Srinagar. Sunita Raina, Javed Ahmed and Umer Rather, and others were present in the programme, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from BJP workers, local residents and citizens from diverse sections of society, who gathered in large numbers to take a collective pledge to promote Swadeshi products.

Addressing the gathering, Sunita Dogra highlighted the vital role of Swadeshi in strengthening local industries, creating employment opportunities and accelerating India’s journey towards becoming an Atmanirbhar nation.

Anwar Khan urged citizens to consciously prioritise indigenous products over foreign alternatives, stressing that collective participation at the household level can bring about a transformative change in the national economy.

During the oath ceremony, participants pledged to adopt Swadeshi products in their daily lives and committed themselves to spreading awareness about the economic, social and strategic benefits of supporting local manufacturers, artisans and entrepreneurs. The speakers emphasised that economic self-reliance is not merely a policy objective but a patriotic duty and a shared responsibility of every citizen.

BJP reiterated its unwavering commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and assured that such awareness-driven initiatives will continue across Jammu & Kashmir. The party reaffirmed its determination to promote Swadeshi products and indigenous industries, thereby contributing to India’s economic self-reliance and global competitiveness.
