The DC also stressed that achieving 100 percent coverage is essential to maintaining the district’s polio-free status.

He further urged to ensure that every child in the 0-5 years of age group receives polio drops and appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to health workers during booth-based and door-to-door vaccination activities.

He also directed the concerned officers to ensure proper supervision, availability of logistics, and smooth functioning of vaccination booths across the district.

It was shared that a total of 508 booths, including 12 transit booths, have been established across the district to ensure maximum coverage and near about 87000 children below 5 years are scheduled to be administered the pulse polio drops.

The programme will continue with door-to-door vaccination from tomorrow to ensure maximum coverage of eligible children across the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Viqar Ahmed Giri; CMO, Dr. Showkat Ahmad; MS, Dr. Syed Masood, DIO, Dy. CMO, and other officers were present on the occasion.
