Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul said that under the decisive and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Kashmir region has witnessed unprecedented development on a war footing. He stated that the Modi-led government has brought about a historic transformation by shifting the region’s narrative from an era dominated by open terrorism and instability to one driven by tourism, infrastructure growth, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities.

Ashok Koul highlighted that focused attention has been given to socio-economic development, with special emphasis on tourism promotion, road and connectivity projects, education, healthcare, and employment generation. Kashmir, he said, is now hosting world-level programmes, international sporting events, cultural festivals, and global conferences, showcasing its potential as a hub of peace, hospitality, and progress.

Ashok Koul said that the revival of tourism has not only strengthened the local economy but has also restored confidence among the people, particularly the youth, who are now choosing sports, innovation, and entrepreneurship over conflict. He emphasized that peace and prosperity are now becoming the identity of Kashmir, replacing fear and uncertainty.

Calling for greater public participation, Ashok Koul urged the people to actively support and engage with development initiatives to send a strong message of peace and harmony to the world. He said that the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains fully committed to the welfare of the people at the grassroots level and is implementing welfare schemes for farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged in a mission mode.

Koul further said that the Modi-led BJP government will continue to work tirelessly to ensure inclusive growth, social justice, and lasting peace in Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every household.
