KPDCL announces power shutdowns across Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar and adjoining districts to facilitate essential maintenance and repair works on key 33 KV power lines.

Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, has informed that Shutdown of 33 KV Badampora Safapora Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Safapora, Gratbal, Jarakobagh, Mansbal, Chewa and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 20 & 24 December 2025.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Cheshmashahi-TRC line & 33 KV Cheshmashahi Centaur Buchwara line will be observed due to which power supply to TRC05-Dal, BUC01-Nehru Park, BUC03-Dalgate, BUC03-Dal and adjoining areas will be affected on 21 December 2025 from 11 AM to 02 PM.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Pampore BK Pora-Khanda line will be observed due to which power supply to BK Pora, Khanda, Checkpora, Chatergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoora, Aribagh, Checkpora and adjoining areas will be affected on 20 December 2025 from 10 AM to 03 PM

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Lassipora- Reshipora line & 33 KV Lassipora-Landoora line will be observed due to which power supply to Zainapora, Chitragam, Sugan, Turkwangam, Watchi, Babpora, Mome, Hermain, Hajipora, Chakoora and adjoining areas will be affected on 20, 23 and 27 from 09 AM to 03 PM
