  Justice Sanjeev Kumar inaugurates Common Room, Cafeteria at High Court

SRINAGAR: In a significant step towards strengthening judicial infrastructure and enhancing facilities for court stakeholders, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Judge, High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority, inaugurated a Common Room and Cafeteria within the premises of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh today.

The facilities were inaugurated in the presence of Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Justice Sanjay Dhar, Justice Waseem Sadiq Nargal, Justice Rajesh Sekhri and Justice Sanjay Parihar.

On the occasion, Justice Sanjeev Kumar highlighted that these facilities form part of the continuous and visionary efforts of Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, to modernise and strengthen judicial infrastructure across the Union Territory, with a focus on dignity, accessibility and efficiency in the administration of justice.

The newly inaugurated Common Room and Cafeteria have been designed to provide comfortable, accessible and functional spaces for Judges, advocates, litigants and court staff, thereby fostering a more humane, efficient and inclusive court environment. These utilities are aimed at ensuring convenience, facilitating meaningful interaction, and improving the overall court experience for all stakeholders.

The event was graced by the presence of Shazia Tabassum, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority; Khursheed-ul-Islam, Registrar Judicial; Mohsin ul Qadri Sr. Additional Advocate General; Tahir Majeed Shamsi, Deputy Solicitor General of India; Jahangir Ahmad Bakshi Joint Registrar Judicial, learned Senior Advocates; officers of the Registry; and members of the Bar.
