Delegations call on LG Sinha, raise local and student issues

JAMMU: Two separate delegations today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Jammu and raised issues of public and student interest.

A delegation of residents from Village Lalyal, Marh, led by former Minister and senior BJP leader Sukhnandan Choudhary, met the Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of various local developmental concerns and civic issues affecting the area.

Separately, a delegation of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), led by its J&K Organising Secretary Tilak Thakur, also called on the Lieutenant Governor. The delegation discussed matters related to students’ welfare, education, and youth-related issues in the Union Territory.

The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to both delegations and assured them that the issues highlighted would be examined for appropriate action.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the All Minority Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) led by its President, Sanjay Koul, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
