The meeting focused on ensuring coordinated planning, effective public outreach and successful implementation of the campaign across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of sustained public engagement, effective grievance redressal with greater transparency and accountability, and called upon all departments and district administrations to work in close coordination to ensure that the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign delivers tangible benefits to the people and reinforces the commitment to citizen-centric governance here.

The Administrative Secretaries also offered their suggestions and strategic inputs to strengthen the coordination, improve monitoring mechanisms and ensure that the objectives of the programme are achieved across all districts.

The Commissioner Secretary, GAD, M.Raju, while throwing light on the programme, highlighted that ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign is being organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, to promote good governance by resolving public grievances and improving service delivery at the grassroots level.

As part of the initiative, he added, the District Collectors will organise special camps at tehsil headquarters, panchayats and other local-level institutions for on-the-spot redressal of public grievances and disposal of service delivery applications. The campaign also focuses on increasing the number of services delivered through online platforms and ensuring the timely resolution of grievances registered through special camps, CPGRAMS and State portals.

It was revealed that the initial preparatory phase is to be followed by the implementation phase from December 19 to 25, 2025, during which daily progress will be uploaded on the dedicated portal, capturing data on grievances resolved through special camps, CPGRAMS and State portals, services added for online delivery, disposal of service delivery applications, documentation and dissemination of good governance practices, success stories of grievance resolution and details of outreach and dissemination activities.

During the review, the Deputy Commissioners shared detailed inputs regarding the special camps, grievance redressal drives, service delivery initiatives and awareness programmes proposed to be organised in their districts during the campaign period.

As part of the campaign, district-level dissemination workshops will be organised on December 23, 2025, focusing on good governance practices and initiatives undertaken during the last five years in key sectors such as public service delivery, health, education, grievance redressal and public works.

These workshops will also host a retired IAS officer who has earlier served in the district as Deputy Commissioner or District Magistrate. Besides, presentations on at least three significant governance initiatives taken in the district would be highlighted too. The good governance practices presented during these workshops will be collated and uploaded on the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ portal along with photographs for replication across the country.
