Gulmarg: In a significant move to improve rural healthcare, MLA Gulmarg Farooq Ahmad Shah today distributed Blood Pressure machines and Glucometers among ASHA workers during a programme held in Kunzer.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA said that ASHA workers are the frontline pillars of community health, ensuring that essential health services reach every household. He reiterated that upgrading the healthcare system will remain one of his top priorities. The MLA assured that continuous efforts will be made to address gaps in infrastructure, manpower, and medical equipment so that people in the constituency receive timely and dependable health services.

BMO Kunzer and ZEO Kunzer were also present on the occasion and welcomed the initiative, saying that the devices will help ASHA workers identify hypertension and diabetes at an early stage, enabling faster treatment and reducing health risks.

This initiative is expected to strengthen preventive healthcare, improve disease screening, and enhance medical support for rural communities across the Gulmarg constituency.
