Baramulla: Handicrafts Service Centre (HSC) Baramulla, under the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, organised a Digital Awareness Programme to equip local artisans with essential digital competencies aimed at enhancing their market outreach. This initiative is part of the ongoing National Handicrafts Week 2025, celebrated across the country.

The session, titled “Digital Awareness Among Artisans on GeM Onboarding, E-Commerce, Social Media & Virtual Catalogue,” included practical demonstrations on leveraging social media for promotion, developing virtual catalogues, and registering products on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). Participants of the programme gained hands-on insights into how digital platforms can broaden market access and improve craft visibility.
