According to the statement, the attached property comprises a residential house along with 6 marlas of land situated at Pamposh Colony, Noorbagh. During the investigation, it was established that the said property “had been raised using illicit proceeds generated through the narcotics trade”, police said. Following these findings, the competent authority issued an attachment order under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The attachment was executed in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, strictly adhering to all legal formalities. As per the order, the owner is restrained from selling, transferring, altering, or creating any third-party interest in the said property, police said.

In a separate case, police attached a double-storey house worth Rs 60 lakh of an alleged drug peddler in Udhampur district, an officer said.

The property belonging to Varun alias Pichi of the Karan Nagar area was attached under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
