The five-day event generated sales worth over ₹1.36 crore and secured 391 business leads with prominent business houses, promising substantial economic benefits for the artisans and entrepreneurs of J&K.

The PITEX 2025 was inaugurated by former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), the former President highlighted Punjab’s rapid progress, noting that the state, once known primarily as the “bread basket of India”, is now emerging as a hub for MSMEs, technology, manufacturing and ease of doing business.

The expo hosted exhibitors from across India and abroad, featuring the participants from 17 Indian states along with several international representatives who showcased a diverse range of products.

The success of the Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion at PITEX 2025 underscores JKTPO’s commitment towards enhancing market access for the local artisans and entrepreneurs, fostering both B2B and B2C engagements. The initiative continues to bridge cultures, support livelihoods and drive economic growth across the Union Territory.

As part of its activities for the current financial year, the JKTPO has organized several events, including a Buyer–Seller Meet at SKICC, GI Fair at Budgam, Gandhi Shilp Bazaar at Kashmir Haat and Pashmina Festival at Katra.

Additionally, the JKTPO participated in major national events such as the Handwoven Expo in New Delhi, World Food India and IITF at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, to showcase the economic potential of Jammu & Kashmir.
