Javid Ahmad Dar lays foundation stone for Nagbal Playfield

BARAMULLA: In a significant step towards strengthening the sports infrastructure in north Kashmir, Minister for Agriculture Production Department, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Javid Ahmad Dar, today laid the foundation stone for the development of Nagbal Playfield at Ladoora, Rafiabad in Baramulla.

The project is being executed by the J&K Sports Council with an estimated cost of ₹70.00 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government is vigorously strengthening the sports infrastructure with modern facilities to support the aspiring athletes. He emphasized that development of playfields will open better avenues for the local youth to participate in sports activities and nurture their talents in a structured and supportive environment.

The Minister announced that more playgrounds will be developed in other parts of the constituency to ensure recreational and sports facilities are accessible to all.

Later, the Minister inspected various ongoing development works in Rafiabad. He directed the officials to ensure timely completion of these vital projects while ensuring strict adherence to set quality parameters.

Senior officers from the Youth Services & Sports Department, officials from various developmental agencies and local representatives were present during the event.
