Srinagar: Police in Sopore have solved two cases of theft by arresting two persons and recovered stolen items from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that investigating a case of theft in the shop of Abdul Rashid Mir of Nathipora, several suspects were rounded up among whom one Ghulam Mohammad Lone, son of Abdul Jabbar Lone, resident of Yahama Handwara, confessed his involvement. On his disclosure, stolen items were recovered from an orchard at Nathipora.
Investigating a case of theft at a bakery shop of Ghulam Mohammad Kanjwal, resident of Sir Syed Abad, police arrested one Shakir Sadiq Bhat from the premises of SDH Sopore. During questioning, he confessed his involvement and revealed the location of the stolen cash, which was subsequently recovered, police spokesperson said.
