Anantnag: The Wildlife Protection Department captured two black bears in separate operations carried in Anantnag district on Friday, officials said.
A bear was captured by the Control Room Achabal from Soyan Sagram, Kokernag, following repeated sightings that had created panic among the residents.
In a separate operation, officials from the Seer Control Room captured another black bear from Yall village of Haptnod, ensuring the safety of the local population.
Officials said both the bears were later released back to their natural habitat. (KNC)
