DC Sgr reviews status, progress of JKCIP, HADP implementation

SRINAGAR NOVEMBER 29: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Saturday, chaired a meeting here at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the latest status and progress in implementation of Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) and ongoing projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi and Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, the meeting was attended by Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Agriculture Officer Assistant Director Fisheries, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Sericulture Officer, District Programme Officer NRLM and other concerned.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a latest update of the applications received, processed and approved projects by the agriculture and allied departments under JKCIP in the district. He also evaluated the achievements related to projects taken up under HADP, along with the progress made in issuing seed, fertilizer and pesticide licenses to Krishi Udhyamis.

Additionally, the DC assessed the status of Daksh Kisan enrolment, units established and credit linkage progress under various allied schemes.

On the occasion, the DC directed all departments to expedite application processing, prompt sanctioning of beneficiary cases, beneficiary enrolment, and timely uploading and verification of data on the designated portal.

He emphasized the need for well-coordinated efforts to achieve tangible results under JKCIP aimed at improving the competitiveness and climate resilience of agriculture and allied sectors in Srinagar district. The DC also urged banks to improve the sanction ratio to ensure timely benefits reach the eligible beneficiaries.
