KPDCL schedules power cuts across Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Residents across several parts of Kashmir will face scheduled power disruptions over the coming days as the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of shutdowns on key transmission and distribution lines to carry out essential maintenance works, officials said on Thursday.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, shutdown of 132 KV Amargarh-Kupwara Tr. Line Ckt-1st and 2nd will be observed due to which power supply to Hyhama, Trehgam, Kralpora, Patru, Kundiyan, Keran, Tarathpora, Panzgam, Tangdar, Teetwal, Doolipora, Vilgam, Magam-Handwara, Dragmulla, Tikker, Galizoo, D.C residence, Khumriyal, Krusen, Lassipora, Sogam, Divar, Z Gali, Machil, Nutnussa, Chogal, Army Camp, Mill, Pukrupeth, Zachaldara, Changimulla, Handwara, Adoora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.00 on 30 November 2025.

Similarly, shutdown of Bemina-JVC line shall be observed from 10.00 AM to 02.00 PM, 33 KV Ahmadpora-Beerwah line and 33 KV Ahmadpora line from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM due to power supply to  JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, State Motor Garage, Hajj House, Forensic Lab, PC Depot, Qamarwari, Barthana, Beerwah, Sonpah, Najan, Khag, Arizal, Zanigam, Gandipora, Doodhpathry, Arah, Mazhama Old Sanoor, Aripanthan, Magam, Weriahama, Budren and adjoining areas will be affected on 02 December 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Kanipora-Pinjoora line will be observed due to which power supply to Pinjoora, Phanoo, Trenz, Mohanpora, Imamsahib, Kilora, Arhama, Zawoora, Shirmal, Chowdrigund, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Saidpora, Bemnipora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 04 & 07 December 2025

Furthermore, shutdown of 33 KV Kanipora-Batapora line will be observed due to which power supply to Gagren Town, Sharatpora, Meemender, Habdipora, Industrial Area Gagren, Town, Batpora, Sedow, Hirpora, Devpora, Hotline, Dist. Hospital, DPL and adjoining areas will be affected from 11.00 AM to 01:30 PM on 30 December 2025.
