DSEK conducts surprise inspection of book distribution at JKBOSE Bemina

SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Naseer Ahmad Wani, today paid a surprise visit to the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Bemina, to review the ongoing process of textbook distribution for students across the Kashmir division.

During the inspection, the Director assessed the administrative arrangements and distribution mechanism and expressed satisfaction over the smooth and well-organized process.

DSEK, was informed that textbooks have already been dispatched to 61 zones across the Valley, and the remaining distribution is expected to be completed in all districts by December 2, 2025.

The Director directed all Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) to ensure that the books reach students at the earliest. He further instructed that a detailed distribution report must be submitted to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir within three days of receiving the books from the Board, through the respective Chief Education Officers (CEOs).

The Director also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the concerned staff for ensuring the timely execution of the textbook distribution process this academic year.

It was further informed that since the launch of the distribution drive on November 17, textbooks have been dispatched to 8 Zones of Srinagar, 6 zones of Kulgam, 5 zones of Bandipora, 12 zones of Anantnag, 4 zones of Shopian, 8 zones of Pulwama, 13 zones of Budgam, 4 zones of Ganderbal and two zones of Baramulla district.

The Directorate remains committed to ensuring that every student receives textbooks well in time to avoid any academic disruption.
