Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Ganderbal and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police spokesperson informed that Gulzar Ashraf Khan, son of Mohammad Ashraf Khan, resident of Buderkund Ganderbal, was arrested at a checkpoint established near Wayil Bridge, after his personal search yielded a “substantial” quantity of ‘Bhung Patri’ (cannabis derivative).
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal, and further investigation is on.
