JAMMU: A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was held today under the Chairmanship of MLA Sham Lal Sharma, to examine the CAG’s Audit Paras pertaining to the Revenue and Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department.

Members, Mubarak Gul, Nazir Ahmad Khan (Gurezi), Balwant Singh Mankotia, Qaysar Jamshaid Lone, Sajad Shaheen and Muzaffar Iqbal Khan were present in the meeting.

He directed the senior officers of the departments to submit their replies regarding Audit para’s within the time frame.

The Chairman said that the PAC  plays a crucial role in ensuring accountability and transparency in government spending. He added that non-seriousness on part of any official would not be tolerated by the committee.

Secretary, JKLA, Manoj Kumar Pandit; Director, Finance, Revenue; Special Secretary, DMRR&R; Director Finance, DMRR&R and other senior officers of the concerned departments.
