DC Bla hands over PMAY-U 2.0 sanction letters to 20 eligible beneficiaries

BARAMULLA: In a step towards ensuring housing for all eligible beneficiaries, DC Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, in the presence of Executive Officer MC Watergam, Sarafraz Ahmad Bhat, today handed over sanction letters under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 to 20 eligible beneficiaries from Municipal Committee Watergam.

The DC congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to start construction work at the earliest. He highlighted that timely initiation would enable them to receive subsequent installments on schedule and complete their houses within the prescribed timeframe. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to construction guidelines, maintaining quality, and ensuring transparency throughout the process.

The DC stressed that PMAY-U 2.0 is a key initiative aimed at providing safe, pucca, and affordable housing to eligible urban families, reinforcing the government’s commitment to “housing for all.” He encouraged the beneficiaries to make full use of the assistance to achieve secure and dignified living conditions.

Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Watergam, assured full support to the beneficiaries and highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts with the administration for smooth implementation of the scheme. Other concerned officers were also present during the event..
