Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal carried out extensive searches across various industrial estates in the district to audit the stocks and usage of industrial chemicals.
A police spokesperson said the drive is aimed to verify whether any units were handling chemicals that could potentially be misused for unlawful or anti-national activities.
Officers interacted with managements, inspected storage facilities, and reviewed documentation to ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory norms. All stakeholders were sensitized about the importance of strict compliance with regulations governing the handling and distribution of hazardous substances, the spokesperson said.
