DC Budgam hands over PMAY-U 2.0 sanctions to beneficiaries

BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, today distributed sanction letters to newly approved beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-Urban) 2.0, at a function held in the New Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex Budgam.

During the event, the DC handed over 16 sanction letters to beneficiaries of Municipal Committee Chadoora and 14 sanction letters to beneficiaries of Municipal Committee Budgam, formally enabling them to begin the construction of their houses under the flagship housing scheme.

Congratulating the beneficiaries, the DC reiterated the District administration’s commitment to ensuring dignified housing for all eligible urban households. He directed the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to ensure immediate grounding of all sanctioned houses, timely issuance of permissions, and continuous handholding support to beneficiaries.

He instructed officers to maintain close coordination with beneficiaries, resolve field-level issues on priority, and regularly monitor progress for seamless implementation of PMAY-U 2.0, adding that no delay in initiating construction work will be tolerated.

On the occasion, CPO Budgam, CEO MC Budgam, EO MC Chadoora, and other concerned officers were present.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the District Administration for the transparent and timely issuance of sanction letters.
