BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), with a special focus on Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their bank linkage achievements.
During the meeting, banks were directed to clear all pending SHGs credit cases within 15 days, while NRLM officials were instructed to sponsor additional cases to further strengthen financial inclusion and livelihood support.
Enhanced coordination between banks and NRLM teams was emphasised to ensure seamless SHGs credit linkages and achievement of targets. All concerned officers were also directed to submit weekly progress reports to monitor timely implementation.
The DC stressed the importance of collective effort in empowering SHGs and accelerating the district’s progress under the NRLM initiative.
