Javid Dar, Advisor Wani visit bereaved families, injured victims of Nowgam blast

SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Departments, Javid Ahmad Dar, and Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, on Saturday visited the bereaved families and injured victims of the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station, extending condolences and assurances of full government support.

Javid Ahmad Dar visited Nowgam and Natipora to offer condolences to the families of Mohd Shafi and Suhail Ahmad Rather, who lost their lives in the tragic incident. He expressed solidarity with the grieving families and assured all possible assistance from the Government. The Minister also met local residents to review the damage caused to houses in the vicinity and obtain first-hand details of the situation.

Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, acting on the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, visited Nowgam, Natipora, Soibug and Bemina to meet the families who lost their loved ones in the explosion. Accompanied by MLA Channapora Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo and senior officials, the Advisor conveyed the Government’s deep sorrow and reiterated its commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the affected families during this difficult time.

Later, the Advisor visited a local hospital to enquire about the condition of the injured. He interacted with the victims and reviewed the line of treatment, directing the Health Department to coordinate closely with the hospital to ensure the best possible care.

Both the Minister and the Advisor affirmed that the administration remains firmly committed to supporting the bereaved families and the injured, offering solidarity and assuring comprehensive assistance in the aftermath of the tragedy.
