Srinagar: Director General of apolice Nalin Prabhat on Sunday visited Muqam-e-Shahwali in Drugmulla to console the family of Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq, who lost his life in the accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night.
Inspector Asrar was one of the nine people who died in the explosion, which occurred while explosive material recovered during an investigation was being handled. Several personnel had also suffered injuries in the incident.
According to KNS Correspondent, Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Nalin Prabhat, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdhi, Special DG Coordination PHQ SJM Geelani, Rajya Sabha MP Choudhary Mohammed Ramzan and Additional SP Kupwara Fayaz Geelani were among the senior officials who visited the bereaved family.
Officers from the civil administration, police and security forces were also part of the delegation.
The officials met the family members, offered prayers and assured them of every possible support from the administration.(KNS)
