The initiative aims to expedite the settlement of unclaimed deposits and enhance public awareness on reclaiming dormant financial assets.

In Jammu, the camp will take place at Hotel Country Inn, Bahu Plaza, from 11:30 a.m., where the local Member of Parliament has been invited grace the event as the chief guest. The Srinagar camp will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Hall, Khalifa Pora, Khanyar, and will be graced by elected representatives from Khanyar and Hazratbal.

Both camps will facilitate on-the-spot verification and settlement of eligible claims related to unclaimed deposits, insurance proceeds, mutual fund units, pension dues, and other financial assets. Senior officers from banks, insurance companies, pension bodies, and mutual fund institutions will be present to guide visitors through the claim process. Encouraged by recent BLBC meetings and awareness drives conducted by banks and FLCCs, a strong turnout is expected, with residents advised to bring valid identification and supporting documents.

Extensive local publicity—through community announcements and coordination with nearby bank branches—has been carried out to ensure maximum participation. Verified claims will be processed and disbursed immediately during the camps.

These events form a key part of the DFS’s national initiative to return unclaimed financial assets to their rightful owners and promote transparent, citizen-centric financial services. For further information, individuals may visit the RBI UDGAM Portal or contact their nearest bank branch.
