Call for welfare-oriented governance to reach every household

Samba: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, organised its monthly meeting of MLAs at Akhilash Farm in the district of Samba.

The meeting was presided over by Sat Sharma (CA), Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and President, BJP J&K, accompanied by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma. Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, and Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary & MLA, also addressed the meeting.

J&K BJP General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, MLAs Dr. D.K. Manyal, Sham Lal Sharma, Surjit Singh Slathia, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, Adv. Ranbir Singh Pathania, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Arvind Gupta, Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, Shaghun Parihar, Surinder Bhagat, Thakur Darshan Singh, Thakur Randhir Singh, Mohan Lal Bhagat, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, and Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, along with District Presidents Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Arun Gupta, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Rinku Choudhary, Rajiv Pandita, and Gopal, were present in the meeting.

The meeting reviewed ongoing organizational activities, discussed public-centric developmental issues, and charted out a roadmap to further strengthen the party’s base across the Union Territory.

Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma emphasized that the BJP stands as the true voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that every elected representative of the BJP should work with a mission mode to ensure that every section of society benefits from the policies of the Modi Government. He said that the party MLAs must ensure their reach to every household, every voter, and ensure that the party’s welfare-oriented governance model touches every life. He lauded the MLAs for their active role in the Assembly and said that they successfully sought the attention of the House regarding issues concerning common people of J&K and especially thwarting any attempt at regional bias in the J&K assembly.

Sunil Sharma, in his address, said that in the last decade, the BJP has emerged as a credible force of development and integrity in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the BJP is committed to transparency, accountability, and rapid progress. He appreciated the proactive measures taken by BJP MLAs for the welfare of the needy and further urged them to intensify grassroots outreach. He further added that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have seen through the politics of deceit by NC, Congress, and PDP, and are now rallying behind the BJP’s vision of peace, prosperity, and empowerment.

Ashok Koul underlined the importance of coordinated effort between the elected representatives and the party cadre to strengthen the organization and amplify the welfare measures for the people at the ground level. Our strength lies in our disciplined structure and commitment to service, he said.

Dr. Narinder Singh stressed that the Modi government is concerned for the development at the grassroots level even in the remotest places, which is based upon the accountable and performance-oriented governance model.

All the MLAs also felicitated Sat Sharma for his election as Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha, and wished him a successful public-oriented tenure as an MP, while further strengthening the organisation as the President.

On the occasion, a book highlighting the first-year achievements of MLA Dr. Bharat Bhushan was also unveiled, showcasing the developmental initiatives and welfare measures undertaken in his constituency.
