SRINAGAR: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, on Friday visited Anantnag and Kulgam districts to assess the security situation and review the ongoing counter-terrorism operations in South Kashmir.

Accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V. K. Birdhi, IPS, the DGP held detailed discussions with field officers to evaluate the measures being implemented to dismantle the terror ecosystem and ensure sustained peace in the region.

During the visit, the DGP was briefed about the current operational scenario, intelligence inputs, and security grid coordination. He emphasized the importance of proactive strategies, enhanced synergy among security agencies, and community cooperation to effectively counter terrorist activities.
