Reports said that several areas across Kashmir, including Gurez Valley, Razdan Top, Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and Doodhpathri, experienced light snowfall this afternoon.

However, Srinagar and some other areas in Kashmir experienced gusty winds, which continued for almost an hour in the afternoon today. In the evening hours, Srinagar and other parts of the valley were lashed by the rains, bringing the temperature further down in Kashmir.

As per the forecast issued on Monday, Director Meteorological (MeT) department, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad stated that the weather will remain generally cloudy on November 5 while there is a possibility of light to moderate rain or snowfall (over higher reaches) at many places across Kashmir division and at scattered locations in Jammu division, particularly during the evening of November 4 to the early morning of November 5.

He also stated that the maximum as well as the minimum temperatures are expected to plummet from tomorrow (November 5) onwards.
