A total of 150 cyclists from across India have embarked on this remarkable journey, including 20 women and one cyclist from Kashmir, Rafiq Ahmad.

Speaking on the occasion, Nuzhat Gul said, “The K2K expedition is not just a test of endurance but a tribute to the spirit of unity and the diversity that makes India truly great. Starting this journey from the land of Kashmir, the crown of India gives it even deeper meaning. It reflects the nation’s strength, inclusivity, and collective resolve to stay united and fit.”

Over the next 18 days, the cyclists will traverse 4,249 kilometres pedaling through diverse terrains, climates, and cultures as they move from the serene valleys of Kashmir to the southern tip of Kanyakumari.

The expedition embodies the message of “One Nation, One Spirit, One Journey”, inspiring youth across India to embrace fitness, resilience, and national pride.

The event has been organized with the support of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, Fit India Movement, Sports Authority of India, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The expedition also aims to promote the Fit India campaign and raise awareness about the importance of an active lifestyle.

The K2K Cycling Expedition stands as a vibrant symbol of how sports continue to connect hearts and bridge distances from the snowy mountains of Kashmir to the sunlit shores of Kanyakumari uniting India in motion, spirit, and purpose.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by young athletes, sports enthusiasts, and local citizens, who cheered the cyclists as they began their long journey from the heart of Srinagar, carrying with them the hopes, blessings, and goodwill of the entire nation.
