BJP organizes ‘Unity March’ on 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Jammu: Marking the 150th Birth Anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), took out Unity Marches at the District level across Jammu & Kashmir, in which BJP leaders, party cadre, prominent civil society members, and common people participated in massive numbers.

J&K BJP, led by its President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma (CA), organized a grand “Unity March” in Jammu. The march began from Vikram Chowk, passed through KC Chowk, main markets, and prominent roads, and culminated near the Press Club, Jammu, symbolising the message of national integration and collective strength.

The Unity March was organized as part of the nationwide “Sardar@150 – Unity March” campaign, commemorating Patel’s monumental contribution in uniting over 560 princely states into one sovereign India. The event was managed by Baldev Singh Billawaria, J&K BJP General Secretary and J&K Incharge of the Unity March, along with Rajiv Charak, BJP Vice-President and Jammu Lok Sabha Incharge for Sardar@150 Unity March.

Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), J&K BJP, ⁠Dr Narinder Singh, National Secretary, BJP & MLA, Priya Sethi, & Rekha Mahajan, Vice Presidents, ⁠Sanjita Dogra, General Secretary, Rajesh Gupta & Naresh Jasrotia, District Presidents, BJYM President Arun Parbhat, OBC Morcha President Brahamjyot, Minority Morcha President Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, Anil Masoom, Convenor Jammu, Sardar @150 Unity March were among the prominent who participated in the run.

Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said that Sardar Patel was not only the architect of India’s political integration but also the embodiment of firm resolve and selfless service to the nation. He said that the idea of unity propagated by Sardar Patel is the soul of our nation. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government is carrying forward his vision by strengthening national integrity and awakening the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ among the people, especially the youth. He stressed that unity is the cornerstone of national progress, development, and security, and every citizen must play an active role in the nation-building process within their own sphere of life.

Ashok Koul stated that BJP is committed to taking Sardar Patel’s message of unity and integrity to the grassroots level. He added that it is the responsibility of every activist to promote harmony, discipline, and collective effort for a stronger India.
