The Minister was accompanied by MLA Gulmarg, Pirzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, along with senior officers of the district administration and concerned departments.

Speaking on the occasion, Satish Sharma said that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is fully committed to strengthen sports infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir. “Our youth possess immense talent. It is our responsibility to provide them with modern sports facilities so that they can hone their skills and bring laurels to the Jammu and Kashmir,” he stated.

He further announced that an indoor sports stadium will soon be established in Tangmarg, and the upgradation of existing grounds and sports amenities will be taken up in a phased manner.

Highlighting the government’s broader developmental agenda, the Minister said, “all ongoing projects will be completed within the stipulated time to ensure maximum benefit to the public.” He also revealed that smart bus services will be introduced soon to enhance connectivity and transport facilities, particularly in remote and hilly areas.

Responding to media queries regarding the regularisation of Rehbar-e-Kheel employees, Minister Sharma said that the matter is under active consideration of the government.
