ACB, GMC Sgr hold joint prog to promote vigilance and integrity

Srinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagar, in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, organised a joint vigilance awareness programme to promote integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption vigilance.

The event brought together prominent officials from both institutions, emphasizing the critical importance of vigilance and anti-corruption measures as a collective responsibility.

The programme was attended by Administrator GMC Srinagar,  Mohd Ashraf Hakak; Head of Biochemistry Department, Prof. Dr. Sabiya, and Chairman of the College Anti-Corruption and Surveillance Society (CASS).

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Sabiya emphasized the role of educational institutions in fostering ethical behavior and awareness about corruption.

Speakers from the Anti Corruption Bureau, including SSP ACB SBG, Javid Hassan Bhat; SP ACB SBG, Shahzada Kabir Matoo and Dy Sp underscored the significance of vigilance and participation in anti-corruption mechanisms.

Financial Advisor of GMC, highlighted the need for financial integrity and transparency in public institutions.

A documentary was screened to educate attendees about corruption prevention strategies, the impact of corruption on society, and the vital role every citizen and institution plays in building a corruption-free environment.

The event reinforced that vigilance is a shared responsibility requiring the involvement of government officials, educational institutions, financial advisors, law enforcement officers, and the general public. It aimed to inspire collective action towards fostering accountability, transparency, and ethical practices to strengthen governance and public trust.
