The observance began with MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee administering the Integrity Pledge to the officers and staff of the bank.

This year, the Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 with the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, underscoring the collective duty of all stakeholders to promote integrity and transparency in every sphere of public life.

Speaking on the occasion, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee highlighted the importance of individual and institutional commitment to ethical conduct.

He said, “Integrity is the foundation of trust and the lifeblood of sustainable growth. As a leading financial institution, it is our shared duty to ensure that every process, every transaction, and every decision reflects fairness, honesty, and accountability.”

“This week reminds us that vigilance is not just a policy—it’s a mindset that must guide our actions every single day,” he added.

Reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to preventive vigilance, CVO Ambrish Kumar Mishra emphasized the need for proactive participation by every employee.

“Vigilance is most effective when it becomes part of our organizational culture. Each one of us has a role to play in ensuring transparency, compliance, and ethical governance,” the CVO said.

“The true strength of our vigilance system lies in awareness, collaboration, and a shared resolve to uphold integrity in all our dealings,” he remarked.

As part of the week-long observance, the Bank has planned to organize several initiatives, including an Online quiz on anti-corruption and preventive vigilance measures through its intranet, besides awareness campaigns on its social media platforms, besides radio programs.

Meanwhile, during the day, all Divisional, Zonal, Cluster, and Branch Heads across the Bank’s network also administered the Integrity Pledge to their respective teams, reinforcing a unified institutional stand against corruption and unethical practices.

The observance of ‘Vigilance Week’ reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in its operations, while aligning with the national vision of a corruption-free and ethically driven work culture.
