Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Pulwama and Shopian and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said at Pahoo Gundipora Crossing in Pulwama, police intercepted a car (JK01N/5539), and recovered 41 grams of cannabis-like substance from the possession of one Bilal Ahmad Sofi, son of Abdul Rehman Sofi, resident of Summerbug Lasjan, who was driving it. Sofi was arrested and his vehicle seized, police said.
In Shopian, at Hillow Handew Crossing, one Abdul Majeed Chopan of Frasdab, Charishreef Budgam, was arrested and nine sticks of cannabis-like substance weighing approximately 328 grams recovered from his possession, police said.
