Lt Governor Sinha felicitates DPS Srinagar athletes

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today met the outstanding sportspersons of Delhi Public School Srinagar at Raj Bhawan.

The Lieutenant Governor commended the students for their exceptional achievements in both national and international sports competitions. He also conveyed his best wishes for their upcoming games and future endeavours.

The delegation of students includes Hurriyah Showkat, Samma and Mysha Bilal Kanth (Silver medalists at the 3rd Junior Asian Pencak Silat Championship), Zaid Ali (69th National School Games -Football), and the winning team of the Inter-DPS Football Tournament (Boys Open, Zone 1). They were accompanied by Monisa Khursheed, Vice-Principal and Mudasir Bashir, Sports Secretary, Delhi Public School Srinagar.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha received multiple dignitaries at Raj Bhavan.

A delegation from the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), led by President Javid Ahmad Tenga, presented proposals to promote tourism, industries, and trade, highlighting initiatives to enhance Kashmir’s visibility as a preferred tourist destination.

In separate meetings, G M Saroori, former Minister, and Irfan Manhas, Vice Chairman of District Development Council (DDC) Shopian, apprised the Lieutenant Governor of development priorities and local issues in Shopian district.
