MATHWAR: BJP candidate for the bypolls to the Nagrota assembly seat, Devyani Rana, today pledged to carry forward the mission that her late father, Devender Singh Rana, had envisioned—to transform the constituency by focusing on development, education, women’s empowerment, and youth engagement.

“In line with Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas, Devender Singh Rana’s vision was of a Nagrota that grows with opportunity, dignity, and togetherness, irrespective of religion or caste. With zeal and commitment, I will continue this mission to ensure that Nagrota emerges as a model and vibrant constituency across Jammu and Kashmir,” Devyani Rana said, evoking enthusiasm and overwhelming support from the people during her door-to-door and nukkad meetings at Mohalla Bhagtan Keri, Kalyar, Changral, Mathwar, Dabber Mehra, and Upper Jandyal in Mathwar Mandal.

Launching her nearly 18-day campaign, Rana said that, with the continued support and patronage of the wise people of the constituency, she will strive to transform Nagrota into a model constituency focused on inclusive and sustainable development. “The BJP believes in development that reaches every household and empowers every single person,” she added.

Devyani Rana emphasized that her mission is not merely to contest an election, but to give renewed momentum to the unfinished and unrealized aspirations that her father had envisioned for Nagrota and had tirelessly worked toward.

“Shri Devender Rana believed in the power of inclusive development that touches every home, empowers every youth, uplifts every woman, and connects every hamlet. I seek to dedicate myself to that very mission with sincerity, zeal, and commitment,” she added.

Rana outlined her priorities for Nagrota, stating that youth and women’s engagement, along with the empowerment of underserved populations, remain central to the BJP agenda, with a focus on promoting self-help groups, startup initiatives, and rural entrepreneurship.

“The people have showered immense affection on Rana Sahib, and it is that revered bond which now inspires me to step forward. As a BJP Karyakarta and as a daughter of Nagrota, I dedicate this journey to the service of the people of Nagrota,” she said.

Referring to the BJP’s vision for Jammu and Kashmir—based on balanced regional development, transparent governance, youth empowerment, and grassroots participation in decision-making—she said this vision has translated into improved infrastructure, expanding tourism potential, and enhanced civic amenities, creating a foundation for inclusive and sustainable progress. “Nagrota is an equal beneficiary of this vision and will continue to be so,” she reiterated.
