Anantnag: The Special Judge under the NIA Act, Anantnag, has issued a General Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against Zaffar Bhat alias Khursheed, son of Sana Ullah Bhat, resident of Lewar, Srigufwara, on a request moved by Anantnag Police.
The officials said that Zaffar Bhat is a senior member of the banned Hizbul Mujahideen and is “presently operating from Pakistan”. They said Bhat has been involved in multiple terror-related cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and other relevant laws.
The court has directed the police to take all necessary steps to secure his presence before the court at the earliest, officials said.
