Javid Dar visits Medicinal & Aromatic Plantation farm Rohama Bla

BARAMULLA: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election Departments, Javid Ahmad Dar visited the Medicinal and Aromatic Plantation Farm in Hadipora, Sub-Division Rohama of Baramulla.

During the visit, the Minister reviewed the ongoing activities under the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants initiative, focusing on high-value crop diversification and enhancing farmers’ income.

Minister Dar interacted with farmers, gathering feedback on departmental scheme implementation at the grassroots level and emphasizing the need for farmer-oriented initiatives.

The Minister appreciated the Agriculture Department’s efforts in promoting medicinal and aromatic cultivation, directing further strengthening of initiatives for sustainable and profitable agriculture.

Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Rohama briefed the Minister about various interventions, achievements, and future strategies aimed at promoting high-value crop diversification and enhancing farmers’ income under the HADP initiative. The HADP initiative aims to promote high-value crop diversification, enhancing farmers’ income and contributing to the region’s economic growth.

The visit underscores the government’s commitment to supporting agriculture and rural development in Jammu and Kashmir.
