Sakeena Itoo also flagged various issues before the Union Minister and sought the removal of the qualification bar in recruitment of Anganwadi Helpers. She also asked for a mechanism for permanent accommodation for Anganwadi centres functioning from rented buildings as it creates a hurdle in the proper maintenance of these centres.

Minister Sakeena also requested the Union Minister for the smooth flow of funds so that the Anganwadi Helpers and workers are paid timely wages. She also asked for increasing the honorarium in favour of Anganwadi workers and helpers.

She further assured the Union Minister full cooperation from J&K Government in effective implementation of various Centrally sponsored schemes on Women and Child development.
