PM Modi has transformed J&K from terrorism capital to tourism capital: Tarun Chugh
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and J&K in-charge, Tarun Chugh on Thursday slammed Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, stating that despite completing one year in office, his government has “failed” to fulfil even a single promise made to the people.

Tarun Chugh, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir demand accountability from the government, as none of the commitments made during the elections have been honoured.

He said that one year has come to an end and the people of Jammu and Kashmir ask for a count. “His work time is already 20% over, yet not a single promise has been fulfilled,” he said.

He accused the national Conference of indulging in “political tourism” instead of focusing on real governance. “NC is doing tourism in the name of power. They don’t care about the tourism of Jammu and Kashmir; they only want to promote their own political tourism,” he said.

On PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti remarks that the party will bring an “anti-bulldozer bill,”, he said that both NC and PDP are only interested in politics of convenience rather than people’s welfare

Chugh also said that every election strengthens democracy because it keeps people alive. “In the upcoming by-elections for four Rajya Sabha seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party will fight with full strength. BJP is not a party of any father or son, but a party of mother and daughter, a party of workers driven by ideology.”—(KNO)
