Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that three persons, travelling on motorcycle (PB07BB-7763) were intercepted at Sangri Top. During the search, “significant quantity” of contraband substance was recovered from their possession, following which the trio — Maqsood Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Ahad Lone of Rampora; Riyaz Ahmad Dangroo, son of Sonaullah Dangroo of Yamran Bomai; and Syed Ahmad Khan, son of Gulzar Ahmad Khan of Diver Lolab A/P Sangri Top Watlab – was arrested, and motorcycle seized.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore for investigation.
