The Minister directed the Chairperson to study the feasibility of creating additional seats at CRC in a special B.Ed course, as there has been significant demand for trained special educators in J&K, both in mainstream and specialised institutions, who can cater to the requirements of specially enabled students.

While discussing other issues of JKBOSE, the Education Minister directed the Chairperson to establish a standard grievance redressal mechanism for the facilitation of students and applicants.

Minister Sakeena also appreciated the role of JKBOPEE in ensuring transparent and merit-based admissions. She assured the Chairperson of full support from the Government in creating more opportunities for students from J&K to pursue professional and technical education at par with the rest of the country.

The Minister asked the Chairperson to keep working on various initiatives which will strengthen the professional education ecosystem and ensure that the desired students of J&K have access to quality, diverse and career-oriented opportunities.

During the interaction, the Chairperson of JKBOPEE expressed gratitude to the Education Minister for securing an additional 290 MBBS seats for students of J&K, highlighting that this significant step will provide aspiring students a greater opportunity to shine in the field of medicine and strengthen the collective resolve of the Omar Abdullah-led Government to establish J&K as a hub of academic excellence.
