KUPWARA: The District Administration Kupwara provided immediate relief to families affected by the unfortunate fire incident in Punzwa Villgam, which caused damage to four residential houses last night.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, a team led by Tehsildar Villgam, visited the spot and distributed interim monetary relief among five affected families along with kitchen sets, tarpaulins, blankets, and one month’s advance ration.
Expressing sympathy with the fire victims, the Deputy Commissioner assured full support from the administration and directed assessment of property loss for sanction of relief under SDRF norms on an immediate basis.
He also appealed to the general public to observe safety precautions to avoid fire incidents.
