Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed condolences to Shailendra Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, on the passing away of his father.

In a condolence message, the LG said: “The loss of a parent is painful and indescribable. My deepest condolences to Shri Shailendra Kumar on the demise of his father Shri Lalan Prasad Ji. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Lalan Prasad.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

The Chief Minister also attended the cremation ceremony today and stood in solidarity with the family, offering his support and strength in this hour of grief, an official press release informed.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, has expressed his deep sorrow over the passing away of Lalan Prasad, father of Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Shailendra Kumar, who breathed his last in Srinagar yesterday.

In his condolence message, the Chief Secretary conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Shailendra Kumar and the entire bereaved family in this hour of grief. He prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
