Other notable attendees will include Anil Kumar Joshi and Dr. Geeta Nayak, members of the Central Executive of Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti, New Delhi, along with Dr. V. Dayalu, Convener of Bharatiya Bhasha Manch (North Zone).

The dignitaries invited include Prof. A. In his message, Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, said the institute is honoured to host a seminar of national relevance at a time when preserving linguistic heritage is critical.

“Indian languages are not just a means of communication but also a reflection of our collective history, culture, and identity. This seminar will serve as a platform to deepen our understanding of linguistic unity and strengthen the values of national integration,” Prof. Kanaujia said.

He emphasised that the seminar will provide an opportunity for scholars and students to engage in meaningful dialogue on how language diversity can be harmonised to reinforce national solidarity.

Registrar NIT Srinagar, Prof. Atikur Rehman, said Institute has always championed initiatives showcasing India’s linguistic and cultural vibrancy.

“At NIT Srinagar, we consistently encourage activities that highlight India’s linguistic and cultural richness. The seminar aligns with our commitment to promote inclusivity, knowledge exchange, and respect for the diversity of Indian languages,” he said.

Prof. Rehman added that the event will inspire the younger generation to value linguistic plurality as an asset to nation-building.

Eminent scholars, academicians, students, and faculty members representing diverse linguistic traditions from across the country will participate. The seminar will feature keynote addresses, scholarly lectures, and panel discussions focused on the interconnectedness of Indian languages.

The seminar will deliberate on the idea that while India is home to 22 scheduled languages and hundreds of dialects, they remain deeply connected, reflecting the nation’s shared identity. The discussions will revolve around three thematic dimensions: Unity in Indian languages and translation, skill development and technology, and one emotion, many languages.
